Brett Farve

I used to like Brett Farve when he played for the Packers. At this point though, I think he has overstayed his welcome. It's impressive he will have played 20 seasons at a sport where players are lucky if they last a quarter of that time relatively intact. No doubt Farve is a Hall of Fame Quarterback. However, I think it's likely the Vikings will miss the playoffs. Kind of hard to top coming an overtime loss away from the Super Bowl last year. Farve in his final game as a Packer threw an ugly interception that cost the Packers the game. Guess what game that was? The NFC Championship game that would have put them up against the then 18-0 New England Patriots. The Giants went on to win one of the most memorable Super Bowls in recent memory and they say the rest is history. Just look at last Sunday's game against Dolphins. He lobbed a pass up in the 4th quarter that landed in the wrong hands. He pulled off a similar throw last year against the 49ers on Monday Night Football to win the game, but did not have the same success this time. After this season, Farve should just bow out gracefully. Yes he loves playing, but the fact of the matter is it's crazy to think he can be as productive at 41 as he was at 31.
