Hurricane Season as of July 25, 2010

So far it has been a quite Hurricane Season. Alex hitting Mexico as a Cat 1 cane in June and Bonnie amounting to a weak tropical storm at it's peak and fizzling out before it's second landfall in Louisiana. There is still a long way to go and the historical peak of the season is September 10th. So far the season forecast has been wrong, but things can be unpredictable. Wind shear has been strong tearing storms apart and not allowing systems to take advantage of 85+ degree waters in the Caribbean and Gulf. The next couple of months could be interesting.
